Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was born in the 28th of July 1929 and would soon become one of the most influential women of her time.

Jackie was part of one of the richest catholic families in America at the time. Her family cherished an education where the French language had a very significant role accompanied by a very strict etiquette.

In 1951 Jackie met a rather interesting congressman, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Nine years later with a three year old daughter and one son on the way, the interesting man she met was elected the 35° President of the United States and therefore, she was became the, notorious 35° First Lady.

Jacqueline was a very stylish woman, she really cared about appearance. However, for her, style didn't only regard what you wore. For her, style besides from your clothes, was very encompassing. It was about the way you lived, how you spoke, the dinner parties you held, the art on your wall, the furniture.

Because of her grace she decided that the White House should be restored. With the help of Congress she passed a law to encourage donations of valuable art and furniture and the final result was a completely new White House that served as an authentic showcase for America's most talented and prestigious people. Televisons even broadcasted a tour made by her of the freshly remodelled White House.

Despite the fact that she didn't really liked to make political appearances, in November 1963 she agreed to go with her husband to Texas. Well, she picked the wrong day because her husband was assassinated as she sat beside him, blood-staining her famous pink dress. An hour and a half later she stood beside the vice-president Lyndon Johnson in the same stained dress which she refused to change as he took the oath. How strong-minded and courageous could she be?

After her Kennedy's death, she lived a quiet and more discreet life. She was married twice, at first with the Greek magnate Aristotle Ounassis and, following his death, with Maurice Templesman, a Belgian diamond dealer.

As referred before, Jackied stood out because of her style but, truth be told, today we understand that it wasn't just simple, naked style. Her grace was intemporal and to this day she still has influence in feminin fashion. And yes, I brought you some examples...

To conclude, Jacqueline Kennedy Ounassis is still an icon in the matters of aspect and looks and is one huge symbol of the women's movement in the 1960's. To be fair, she looked nice 😎
