Social Movements

In this blog we will adress the 60s,this decade was one of the most tumultuous and confusing decades of the 20th century. It was an era o rebellion marked by the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, political assassinations and the emerging generation gap. Within this theme we will address social movements like the civil rights movements, the student movement, the anti-Vietnam War movement, the women’s movement, the gay right’s movement and the environmental movement. We will go into greater detail about Women in Society later in the blog, but now we will focus on giving a little bit more insight on other movements. The social movements and the changes that came with them are one of the most important things originated by the 60´s authority defying generation, and were a big factor on the path to freedom and acceptance. The 60´s truly were a peculiar decade but without a doubt, a really important one in the fight against prejudice and towards peace.
